Enjoy a Picnic of Peaches and fruit cake on the paddock, play carnival sports and dress up to stage a story from the past at Rouse Hill House & Farm in Rouse Hill.

Inspired by Caroline Rouse Thornton’s childhood recollections from the 1940s, Sydney Living Museums invite you and your children to step back in time during this fun filled school holiday program at Rouse Hill House & Farm.

As part of the program, children will dress-up in costume and put their acting skills to the test as they re-enact a story from the period, immersing themselves in a time gone by.

Then we’ll have some fun playing traditional games in a mini sports carnival!

After all that action, everyone is invited to relax and enjoy a tasty picnic of peaches in syrup and fruit cake on the paddock.

Dress up clothes, picnic rugs, peaches and fruit cake are supplied, but feel free to bring some extra food. Please contact the property if it’s raining.
