Join Explorers Playgroup in North Sydney for a wonderful cultural learning experience tailored to preschoolers - be introduced to traditional stories, learn and participate in ancestral song, music and dance and experience the sounds of traditional Aboriginal instruments.

Held in conjunction with the North Sydney Community Centre’s regular Explorers Playgroup program, children under 5, their parents, carers and grandparents are welcome to enjoy this creative and interactive way to explore Aboriginal culture and heritage.

This event is a part of the Guringai Festival, this years theme is ‘connections’. The festival runs from May until the end of NAIDOC week, which celebrates Indigenous communities, and Australians from all walks of life. It is an opportunity to participate in activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

North Sydney Community Centre acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land, the Guringai peoples on whose land we now stand, we pay our respects to the Elders past and present.

There is free parking in Ridge St Car Park, a free kids playground and ‘Kids Spot’ activities.
