The doors to the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney Observatory and Australian Museum are wide open and FREE from June Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June, 10am – 5pm.

Create a whole new world at the  Powerhouse Museum and Sydney Observatory, with Tanabata: Star Village, a collaborative community art installation by ArtsPeople and Slow Art Collective. Weave, fold, write, listen to the Japanese fable of the night sky!

It’s a jungle at the Australian Museum with Wild Planet! Get crafty and take home your own Wild Planet mobile. If adventuring is more your style then climb on the bouldering wall, step inside the deep-sea diving pod and dress up in the Trekkers retreat at Trailblazers: Australia’s 50 greatest explorers. Meet the dinosaurs and visit the interactive gallery to look, listen and learn about the giant creatures who ruled the world 65 million years ago.

It gets better! Register for your FREE tickets and win one of five MAAS VIP family passes worth over $200 each including: a family night tour at Sydney Observatory, tickets to a holiday digital learning workshop, a family ticket to the Collider exhibition plus a Tanabata story and craft pack. Register HERE.

If you’re heading to the Australian Museum then register and go in the draw to win a major prize of a children’s birthday party (valued at $630) and AM store voucher ($100). Four runners up will receive a family ticket to the AM and a $100 voucher for the AM Store. Register HERE.

When: Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June, 10am – 5pm
Where: Powerhouse Museum, Sydney Observatory and Australian Museum
Cost: FREE
