Early Learning Project invites you to take part in their research to by allowing your infant or child 3-5 years to take part in their Baby Scientists study!
Do you ever wonder how your child learns about and experiences the world? At the Early Learning Lab at the University of New South Wales, they are asking questions like: How does learning and memory change across infancy and early childhood? How does emotion impact learning? How do infants and young children learn to understand how others are feeling?
The Baby Scientists study uses behavioural tasks, eye tracking, and measures of muscle movement and heart rate to answer these questions. In gaining a better understanding of these processes, Early Learning Sydney hopes to contribute to the healthy growth and development of our children.
Research sessions normally involve a visit to the lab at UNSW. Sessions take less than an hour and you will be reimbursed your for travel and parking expenses, and children who participate will get to pick a small toy to take home.
Baby Scientists currently has studies running with infants from 3 months to 18 months and preschoolers aged 3-5 years. Learn more about the studies and how you can get involved by visiting the website or calling 9385 3036.
