Cancer Council NSW’s flagship fundraiser, Daffodil Day, takes place this August, a day that represents hope for a cancer-free future, with people getting involved by volunteering, buying a daffodil or making a donation.
In the lead up to Daffodil Day, and on the official day, Sydneysiders can get involved with a number of public events including:
Daffodil Day Field of Hope- This is a day of heartfelt daffodil tributes created by people affected by cancer and planted on the Museum of Contemporary Art lawns. Tributes can be submitted online. Sunday 20 August
Sydney Opera House Goes Yellow For Daffodil Day- The Sydney Opera House sails will be lit up in the colour yellow on the eve of Daffodil Day. Daffodil Day ambassador and musician Timothy Bowen will also be present. Thursday 24 August
Daffodil Day at Martin Place- Daffodil Day volunteers will be selling fresh daffodils and merchandise to raise funds, while Cancer Council NSW supporters and those affected by cancer will be sharing their personal stories. Daffodil Day ambassadors Elle Halliwell and Timothy Bowen will also be there for parts of the day, with Timothy to perform some songs for crowds around lunchtime.

When: Daffodil Day is Friday 25 August, but there are events occurring in the days during the lead-up
