Celebrate Christmas as we light up the City!

Parramatta City Council’s celebration of Christmas in Parramatta is a FREE family-friendly event and all are welcome to celebrate the coming of the holiday season.

When: 26th Nov 2015 4:30pm-8:30pm
Where: Centenary Square Parramatta

Highlights include:
Special guest MC Tim Maddren from HI5
Special performances and a meet and greet opportunity with The Christmas Minions
Live performances from Sydney Eisteddfod and local school choirs
Delicious food stalls with Christmas treats
Dedicated kids area with free activities and workshops
Meet a baby reindeer at the Farm Animals petting zoo
Starlight Foundation Charity will be selling beautiful LED light up toys

As the sun sets join us for the traditional Christmas blessing by St John’s Cathedral and a very special visit from Santa Claus. Then prepared to be wowed with the spectacular ‘Welcome to Christmas in Parramatta’ ceremony, with the lighting of the brightest Christmas tree Parramatta has ever seen, followed by a spectacular fireworks finale!

Lord Mayor Gift Appeal:
This year we are asking everyone to bring a gift for the Lord Mayor Gift Appeal, supporting the Salvation Army and Westmead Hospital. Leave your gift in the giant present box on the night!

Donation specifications:
- Unwrapped gifts only please
- Gifts for teenagers are greatly appreciated
- Please no second hand gifts, for safety reasons gifts need to be new
