If the closest your little city slicker has been to a farm is a petting zoo at one of Sydney’s urban markets or fairs, then a visit to family friendly Calmsley Hill City Farm in Abbotsbury (40 minutes from Sydney), is an absolute must.
The farm is a place where the whole family can get up close to a range of native and farmyard animals – you can do everything from milk a cow to feed a kangaroo! There is even sheep shearing, tractor rides and a stock whip show to keep you and the littlies entertained.
There’s always a jam packed agenda of shows to see and activities to do at Calmsley Hill City Farm no matter what day of the week or weekend you visit, and they’re all included in the price of entry (tractor rides are a little extra).
This wonderful City Farm is amazing value for money and you’ll while away at least 3 or 4 hours enjoying everything this place has to offer. Here’s the daily show run down:
|Morning Cow Milking Show||11.00am|

|FREE TIME for Lunch||Free electric BBQ’s are available or enjoy something from the Farmhouse Kiosk|

Hi, I am just wondering if you guys ever thought of bringing back the market days on a Saturday. I used to go out there every market day when they were held there and it was a great day for the grandkids also. I miss those days as it was a great family day out for everyone. Fairfield really needs something like that again as the markets in the Showgrounds have not that same uncluttered feeling. They are too crowded and have not that farm feeling where the kids can really enjoy themselves. Hope you guys can reconsider and bring these markets back. Thanks !!!
