The Balmain Art and Craft show is on over the weekend of 12 and 13 November in the heritage-listed sandstone church and school grounds of Father John Therry School, Balmain with FREE entry.

The show has grown in appeal and reputation since it’s humble beginnings 21 years ago, to become the Inner West’s most popular art, craft and family weekend on the Balmain peninsula with a dedicated “kids carnival and activities” area on the Jane Street campus (Saturday 12 November only).

On Saturday over at the kids carnival, kids can stitch and sew with Ali Eaton from Sew Inner West, get their arm plastered with Adrian Jollow from Newtown Hand Therapy, make their own organic cosmetics including lipgloss and fragrance, have a makeover with crazy hair, nails, tattoos, face painting, create their own showbags as well as fabulous kids craft – they can create their own hanging terrarium, sand art, decorate a kite, timber bunting, ceramics, and much much more…..!!

Check out the fabulous stalls – second hand children’s books and soft toys, tombola, cakes and slices, hook a duck and hoopla, chocolate wheel, slushy and popcorn stall.

Relax with a coffee and snack whilst the kids play at the carnival or you enjoy the entertainment on the main stage.  The food will be fabulous too with all the usual fare like sausage, bacon and egg rolls, the best burgers in Balmain, gourmet pies, marinated chicken wraps and satays. And what’s a carnival without treats for the kids – popcorn machines, slushies, fairy floss, gelato and more…

Where:     Eaton Street, Balmain
When:      Saturday 12 November 9am-6pm and Sunday 13 November 10am-3pm
Cost:         FREE entry
