Come sunshine or rain… but if it’s going to rain, THIS is the PERFECT plan for the weekend! Your kids will stay dry at all times whilst exploring the fun world of arts and crafts for FREE.
Celebrating it’s 20th year in 2015 from the Saturday, 7 November to Sunday, 8 November, the Balmain Art and Craft Show is the Inner West’s most popular art, craft and family weekend on the Balmain peninsula with a dedicated “kids carnival and activities” area.
Running from 9am-4pm on Saturday and from 10am-3pm on Sunday, the Balmain Art and Craft Show at Fr John Therry School, is perfect for parents and kids wanting to enjoy art. See over 400 artworks by 115 leading and emerging artists including new artists, explore beautiful homewards and craft, fabulous food and lots of exciting kids craft sessions all weekend.
While you explore the incredible collections, kids have plenty to do! Let them make their own slime, or hanging glass terrarium (with plants), decorate a ceramic fridge magnet, plate or mug, assemble and decorate a timber bunting, decorate and plant concrete pots, make felt ball necklaces, decorate kites and timber bunting, learn to sew with SEW Inner West and decorate a plaster cast from Newtown Hand Therapy at Active and so much more. Plus back by popular demand ‘The Parlour’ featuring Crazy Hair, Face Painting, Tattoos and Nail Bar!
