The stunning Centennial Parklands is the place to be for Sydney kids and families this Autumn (March/April/May 2017) with great school holiday programs, family activities and exciting events on the calendar.

A Taste of Bush School (2.5-5yrs) 
Want to see what Bush School is about? Come to our special one-off Bush School session and check it out!
Where:   Fearnley Grounds, off Grand Drive, Centennial Park. Meet outside Café
When:    14 March, 23 March, 11 April & 21 April; 9.30-11.30am

Bush School -5 week Autumn Program (2.5-5yrs)
Climb trees, build cubbies, explore the great outdoors, make mud pies, and discover strange bugs. Get children back to nature and experience all of its benefits. Led by our expert team of education rangers, Bush School will inspire love for the natural world through games, bushcraft activities, stories and more.

When:     Mondays, 13 March – 22 May; 9.30-11.30am

Maker Mayhem- Fizzics Activity (7yrs+)
We’re going to get our build on! Using a range of materials including Lego Technics, students will learn all about how things move and investigate mechanical systems like gears and pulleys. We’ll then explore how science and engineering can be used to make art as we build Scribblebots to take home.

Number Crunch- Fizzics Activity (7yrs +)
Discover the hidden patterns and logical sequences you can find in everyday life and the weirder side of science.

Lego Robotics 1- Fizzics Activity (8-14yrs)
Learn how to program our brand new Lego Mindstorms EV3 robots to do your bidding. In this exciting program you will discover how to teach a robot to do what you wish using motors, sensors and more!
Where:    The Learning Centre in the Education Precinct, off Dickens Drive, Centennial Park
When:      Thursday 13 April; 9am-12pm

Lego Robotics 2- Fizzics Activity (8-14yrs)
Put your EV3 skills to the test as we delve deeper into the programming that can make these robots do your bidding!

Use the Force(s)- Fizzics Activity (5yrs+)
When we understand forces, we can do awesome things. Students will take a look at Newton’s Laws and really understand how they work and how we can use them to do some great experiments.

Gross and Gory Science- Fizzics Activity (5yrs+)
Ewwww, gross! Explore all things creepy and gooey in the name of studying the human body.

When:     Friday 21 April; 1-4pm

CP Bush Rangers (5-13yrs)
The greatest alternative to screen time! Led by our experienced team of Bush Rangers, children will enjoy a day of wildlife, bushcrafts, outdoor challenges, games and free play all in the great outdoors of Centennial Parklands.
Where:   The Learning Centre in the Education Precinct, off Dickens Drive, Centennial Park
When:     Wednesday 12 and 19 April; 9am-4pm
Cost:        $85 (including GST and booking fees)

Kids vs Wild (5-12yrs)
Join the Rangers for a survival session where children will learn basic techniques to build a simple debris shelter and then face the water challenge to see if it stands up to the experience of a downpour!

ANZAC Kids Challenge (6-12yrs)
Wrap up the school holidays with this new & exciting ANZAC Day experience at Centennial Park.

Kids Big Fish (8-15yrs)
Want to gain some valuable hands-on fishing skills? Come along to a great family activity coached by “Tony the Fish Whisperer”. You can even try to beat Tony’s World Record catch that was caught right here in the Park!
Where:   Start of Busby Pond as you enter Dickens Dr on the right-hand side; look for the tall pillar & statue

Centennial Parklands’ Sports Camp (6-13yrs)
Our Multi-Sport Camp will give children the opportunity to enjoy a variety of sports, including athletics track and field activities, utilise the Parklands fantastic sporting facilities and most importantly keep active and have fun!
Where:   Registration is at ES Marks Athletics Field, entrance via Boronia Street
When:    Tuesday 18 – Thursday 20 April 2017; 9am-4pm, 8am optional drop-off. Registration 8.45am
Cost:       $180 for 3 days

Autumn Spotlight Prowls- Family Activity (5yrs +)
Centennial Parklands is home to a variety of nocturnal creatures, from Brush-tailed Possums, microbats and Tawny Frogmouths to one of Sydney’s largest colonies of Grey-headed Flying-fox. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Where:   Meet at Robertson Road Gates, Centennial Park
When:     Friday 7 April 5.30 pm, Wednesday 19 April 5.15 pm, Friday 5 May 5pm & Wednesday 17 May 4.45 pm
Cost:        $19 (including booking fee)

Mother Nature Quest- Family Activity (5-12yrs)
A brand new activity for the whole family to enjoy! Do something different this Mother’s Day and take mum on a specially selected nature trail through Centennial Park
Where:    The Learning Centre in the Education Precinct, off Dickens Drive, Centennial Park
When:     Saturday 13 May 2017; 10-11.30am, pick your start time when you book tickets (90 minutes long)

The Great Centennial Park Egg Hunt Event (3-8yrs)
The Easter Bunny and Bilby are returning to Centennial Parklands for Sydney’s biggest egg hunt this Easter!
Where:    Meet at the Learning Centre, Education Precinct, Dickens Drive, Centennial Park
When:     Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 April; 9.30am-2.45pm, pick your start time when you book tickets.
Cost:        $17.50 per entrant map
