Australia Day at Parramatta Park is a great local event with fun for the whole family starting at 6am with Sydney’s only Australia Day Hot Air Ballooning event!

6am-11am: Aerial Carnival
Watch as the hot air balloons ascend to the skies, or see the Parramatta Park in new light as you float above the event in a tethered balloon ride!

11am-6pm: Australia Day Big Backyard
Just like a party in your own backyard, there’s entertainment – including Dorothy the Dinosaur –  amusement rides, workshops, face painting and wildlife displays – fun for all the family!

6pm-11pm: Concert & Fireworks Display
As the sun sets, celebrate Australia Day at the Dig 1100 Concert. Be entertained by music from the Wiggles!, Sarah De Bono, a finalist on The Voice TV show in 2012, and Australian music superstar Tim Omaji, aka Timomatic - singer, songwriter, producer, choreographer and award winning multi-platinum artist.

Bring a picnic or visit one of the delicious food stalls, and make sure you stay to watch the NRMA Fireworks Spectacular!

NB: Attending Australia Day in Parramatta Park is free, however pre-purchased tickets for tethered balloon rides are required. These tickets have now been sold out!
