Sydney families are invited to the fun and FREE Auburn Botanic Gardens Open Day this May!
The Auburn Botanic Gardens is a 9.2-hectare sanctuary in the heart of Western Sydney. Open day is the perfect opportunity to explore the gardens- stroll amongst the stunning Japanese Gardens, experience the beautiful Autumn colours and visit the cute Australian animals. The day includes free horse and carriage rides, live music acts, food stalls, children's craft activities, picnic area with food stalls, a Discovery Trail, prize giveaways, bush tucker tasting, animal talks and feeding, and more.
As part of National Reconciliation Week, a series of Indigenous performances and art workshops will be held. Local Aboriginal elder Uncle Lex will also make a Coolamon (a traditional wood/bark container), leaving behind a 'scar tree' in the gardens.
