Have you ever picked nectarines, do you know how plums grow, how honey is made and what it means to work in an orchard? Canoelands Orchard is located 1 hour from CBD and is situated in Sydney’s North West, it’s aim is to provide families and their kids with the whole farm experience and the opportunity to buy directly from the farmer.

Get your family, the kiddies, a picnic blanket, a basket, put on your fruit picking pants and make your way down to this beautiful farm and spend the day, there’s so much to do and see:


Venue and tractor ride:

Available November, December and early January (make sure you check ahead about what’s harvesting before you go, especially towards the end of the harvest season). Come along and pick your own nectarines or plums depending on whats available at the time.

Please call first for groups over 15 so we can staff it.

Cost adults $5 children $3 ( under 5 free over 15 adult) then you pay per kilo for fruit picked (average price $5.50 /kg).

Tomatoes, passionfruit and blueberries other times of the year so make sure you check whats harvesting!

Tractor Ride:
Cost: A ride around the farm on the Tractor Trailer is $3 per person

Farm Walk:
Take a walk around the orchard, on the walking track, taking in the picturesque views of Marra Marra National Park and the beautiful fresh country air.
Cost: $5 per adult $3 par child

Technical Farm Tour:
This tour includes tractor ride through the orchard and packing shed viewing while your tourguide (one of the Christie Family members) run you through how it all works. There will be demonstrations included during pruning, thinning, blossom thinning and harvest. Bookings are essential for this tour. Groups of 8 or more.
Cost: $15 per person

Technical Bee Tour (available October – January)
This tour is our most popular.and great to do in the off season. Included in this tour is a live bee hive inspection, Honey extracting demonstration, tasting and purchasing of honey straight from the hive, Technical discussion, Question time, Enclosed live bee display case. Bookings are essential for this tour. Groups of 6 or more.
Cost: $25 per person

There is also a small coffee shop on the farm where you can get a light lunch, some cake or fruit.

Birthday parties:
Why not hold your next party here on the farm. Book the venue for $50. This includes a tractor train ride around the farm for up to 12 people ($2.50 per extra passenger). Kids love the tractor train.We have tables and chairs for up to 30 people. Canoeland Orchard have BBQ facilities available for you to use. Plenty of room if you want to hire a jumping castle or a clown. They can even help organising an affordable face painter.
