At last! I’m so excited to hear of a new generation festival coming to Sydney. It’s called Kidtopia and wait for it, it’s totally geared towards families. There’s no longer the need for us families to miss out on the awesomeness of happy festival days.

Parramatta Park is going to be transformed into a giant festival playground at the beginning of October (7-9) during this 3 day event and believe me, once you’ve read more about it you’ll be racing to buy your tickets before they sell out.

Finally, An Affordable Festival

Festivals can be eye-wateringly expensive, especially for families purchasing multiple tickets. A family of four looking for day tickets would be lucky to get any change out of $600.

 

That’s where Kidtopia is different. With tickets from $15 per day for an adult, $10 per child (5-17yrs) and under 5s FREE, this festival is affordable and accessible for all. The event is day tickets only (no camping) and if you pre-book tickets now, you’ll save 50%*. Plus, if you’re among the first 1000 people to register, you’ll get a free funfair ride.

Day tickets cover entry into Kidtopia and all activities except funfair rides, food and drink and a small number of masterclasses.

If you live in Sydney, Kidtopia is happening on your doorstep in Parramatta Park. No need for flights, long drives or overnight accommodation which means less hassle and less expense. It also means you can arrive and leave when it suits you, although we’d recommend making a full day of it as there is so much to do.

 

Stellar Line Up

Festivals are all about great music. Say goodbye to Frozen soundtrack on loop and get ready for some super cool, super talented acts. An exciting line up of live music has been locked in that will not disappoint, with more exciting acts to come.

 

 

2015 X-Factor winner Cyrus and his live band is headlining with a special set just for Kidtopia. Joining Cyrus will be Sydney’s ‘The Vegetable Plot’; think ‘roots musical for kids’, high-impact award-winning dancers, The Hellraisers, international silver medal B-Boy crew ZBoyz, and the father & son space hip-hop duo, Battlebird.

Weird & Wonderful Activities

Part of the magic of an unforgettable festival is about enjoying heaps of activities you would normally not come across. Kidtopia has put together a smorgasbord of exciting and unique things to keep all ages entertained.

 

The kids can stretch it all out and find their inner zen at a yoga class. If crazy explosions and experiments rock your boat, head to the twice-daily science shows for some bubbling, fizzing and booming action.

Get the whole family juggling, spinning and balancing at the Circus School, or head down to the Boom Box Truck, grab a headset and enjoy the Silent Disco.

Be prepared to come face-to-face with a host of crazy characters, daring acrobats and soaring stilt walkers as roving performers mingle among the crowds throughout the day.

After a high-energy day of entertainment, get cosy under the stars in the open-air cinema for a movie the whole family will love.

All The Fun Of The Fair

Then there are plenty of thrills at the Kidtopia Funfair with a fantastic choice of rides including a Giant Slide, Ferris Wheel, Dodgem cars and more! Be one of the first 1000 people to register and you’ll get a free ride included with your ticket. Alternatively, add on an unlimited rides pass for $25 per adult and child for no end to the fun!

 

Smiles For Little Ones Too

Mini-festival goers are fully catered for too. Littletopia, a mini-festival within a festival has a packed program of activities including games, face painting, music, jumping castles and special appearances from Hey Duggee and Go Jetters.

 

 

Little ones will also love getting up close and personal with the cute animals in the Petting Zoo. There will be plenty of rabbits, chickens, goats, lambs and sheep who will welcome a brush, a feed and lots of attention.
