Things are about to get real 'cool' down by the river. This winter, there's plenty to do in Melbourne's favourite destination.

Watch the world by at The Edge

Imagine being suspended in the air, 300 metres up, in a glass box. Thrilling? Then get yourself and the kids along to Eureka Tower in Melbourne’s CBD to visit The Edge.

Eureka Tower is among the tallest buildings in the world, going up 91 stories above ground – and that in itself is hair-raising. But to really ramp things up, head up to the Skydeck and The Edge for a breathtaking view of magnificent Melbourne-town. If you dare!

Slide into winter

Hello Winter Holidays!  During the winter school holidays, the giant Melbourne Variety Ice Slide returns for kids, parents and the whole of Melbourne to enjoy.
Warm up this winter with an exhilarating journey down the Melbourne Ice Slide on an inflatable tube alongside Southbank's waterfront.

Skate by the river

Get your skates on and take a spin around River Rink at Fed Square this winter from July 1 to July 23. Ticket cost includes skates and 45-minute skate sessions starting every hour on the hour. For those who are unsteady on the ice, skating aids are available for hire at the box office
