Big journeys begin with a single step! Celebrate the journey of the Chinese community in Victoria at the Chinese Fortune Festival on 20 August.
On the opening weekend of the exhibition From Robe to Chinese Fortunes, relive the journeys and stories of the Chinese in Victoria in a festival with live performances, demonstrations, Chinese food and fun-filled activities.
A grand Lion Dance will open the festival. Other activities of the day include live music by the Chao Feng Orchestra, a free dumpling demonstration and tasting by Dumpling Mania, and Eugenia Lim's Welcome Stranger photo booth art installation.
There's something for the little ones as well. Activities for children also include making your own Paper Fortune Teller and Dancing Dragon.
Bring the family along for a fun day and rejoice in good fortune.
