With six big weeks of school holidays to fill, give the kids a fun cultural fix (and yourself some respite) with a summer stage show. As the weather heats up, there’s plenty to see and do in Sydney’s burgeoning cultural calendar. Catching a show at one of Sydney’s iconic locations is the best way to escape the sun and immerse your kids in vibrant adaptations of some of their favourite books, characters and movies. 7. The Box Show

The Box Show is perfect viewing to ignite the imagination of children and adults alike. The production showcases four people doing their daily activities in a world made of cardboard boxes and junk. The contents of an abandoned kitchen and wheelie bins become the greatest drum set in the world; plastic bags are an amazing musical instrument and the human body becomes a unique sound machine.
