Just when we thought Steel Park Marrickville with its water play area couldn't get any better - we hear this news! The Inner West Council have just announced it will build an inclusive playspace at the park as part of the $5 million Cooks River Parklands upgrade.

The play space will be the first dedicated inclusive playground in the Inner West Council area which will be developed in collaboration with the Touched by Olivia Foundation.

The foundation are responsible for the Livvis Place playgrounds in Five Dock, Ryde, Campbelltown and a brand new one in Kellyville which promote inclusive play for children of all abilities across the country.

So far there have been no details shared of the plans but Mayor Darcy Byrne has been consulting with locals in the area and wants YOU to share your ideas.

The council are inviting those who are interested to complete a short survey about Steel Park to let them know what you would like to see in the new playspace. Don't miss out on the chance to say your bit as a playground designer!
