Boxing Day Sales - Where to Get the Best Deals in Melbourne 2019

Christmas is done and dusted, you're still digesting an overload of mince pies and novelty chocolate, but the festive season isn't over yet until you've taken your Christmas money and hit the Boxing Day Sales, right?! It's a great time to stock up on things that are usually out of the budget - if you dare to brave the crowds!

One plan of attack can be to circumnavigate one shopping centre and hit up only the stores you need. Of course, browsing is still fun but it's not as relaxing as it is without the hungry shoppers alongside you desperate for a new vacuum cleaner! Park near the exits and prepare your map. We're going in...

Highpoint

Highpoint is open from 7am to 11pm and is home to 500 specialty fashion, homewares and lifestyle stores. You're sure to pick up a bargain from Myer, David Jones, Topshop, Zara Home, Seed, Bed Bath N Table, KMart, Target, Bardot, Metalicus and more.

Highpoint is open 7am - 11pm on Boxing Day.

Chadstone

The biggest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere is sure to land you anything you could want at a Boxing Day price you can afford! Shop high end or bargain-basement all in one place at Chadstone. Stock up on gourmet treats, shoes, bags, books, toys, homewares and more.

Chadstone is open 6am - 11pm on Boxing Day.

David Jones

Boxing Day at David Jones is a genius move - several levels of everything from toys to totes means you don't have to traipse around an entire shopping centre through the mass of people to get what you want!

All DJs stores across Melbourne will be offering significant discounts, hit up Bourke St Mall, Capitol Grand South Yarra, Malvern Central, Highpoint, Chadstone and Doncaster.

The Good Guys

For a wide range of home appliances, TVs, laptops, kitchenware and more, head to The Good Guys Boxing Day Sale (or skip the crowds and shop online) where you can get a great deal on big-ticket items.

Myer

Another great option for managing stress and people levels on Boxing Day is to stick to the Myer department store - you can get just about anything there! There is always something on sale at Myer, and their biggest stocktake sale of the year features everything from men’s and women’s apparel, homewares and appliances to tech, toys and beauty.

Myer has also been known to hand out extra discounts to Boxing Day shoppers (one year, the first 500 people to arrive were given special tickets with once-in-a-lifetime bargain specials), so it's worth a visit!

Northland Shopping Centre

Head to the northern suburbs for your post-Christmas shop, where you will find more than 300 stores, a restaurant area and Hoyts Cinema at Northland Shopping Centre. There's a great play space outside JB Hi-Fi for kids, too.

Northland is open 8am - 9pm on Boxing Day.

Westfield Doncaster

120,000 square metres of retail space awaits at Westfield Doncaster. Go nuts in stores like Novo, Adidas, Cotton On, Mimco, Decjuba, The Universal Store, Georg Jensen, Swarovski, Oroton, Adairs, Big W, Bed Bath N Table, Nespresso, Sheridan, and more.
