April will well and truly see Autumn start to kick in, when rainy days and chilly breezes abound. Hide from Sydney’s unpredictable weather inside your local cinema, a guaranteed couple of hours of entertainment for the whole family. There are some awesome flicks hitting screens these Easter school holidays!

1. Beauty and the Beast


It’s finally here! We just can’t wait to watch Emma Watson stun as Belle, in the signature yellow ball gown which is said to be an exact replica of the original Belle’s gown from the animated classic. This romantic fairytale will spellbind children- a young woman and a monstrous beast fall in love, and objects around the castle come to life.

2. Boss Baby


He was born to lead. Voiced by Alec Baldwin, the coffee-addicted, witty, briefcase-brandishing baby has been sent by Baby Corp to put an end to Puppy Co’s plan to replace babies with puppies in families across the world. You’ll never look at your baby the same way again.

3. Smurfs: The Lost Village


A blast from the past for mums, and a whole new blue world of fun for kids. Smurfette (voiced by Demi Lovato) has lost her purpose. Whilst contemplating her place in the Smurf World, she runs into a mysterious creature and follows it into the Enchanted Forest. From there, accompanied by her brothers Brainy, Hefty and Clumsy, they journey to find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel finds it first.

4. The LEGO Batman Movie


Superheroes and LEGO…is this too good to be true?! There are some big changes brewing in Gotham. If LEGO Batman is to save the city from the Joker’s evil takeover, he might have to start working as a team, and even lighten up a little. Oh, and he adopted a son, so must care for him too. Could there possibly be more on LEGO Batman’s plate?
