- Parents Only
By: Phoebe Ackland, ellaslist
We just love holiday parks. They’re inexpensive, and often boast gorgeous natural surrounds & most importantly, a heap of kid-friendly activities to keep boredom at bay and let parents have a break. Here are some of our favourites, with some of them just a short drive from Sydney.
1. Seal Rocks Holiday Park
3 hours drive north of Sydney
At this one, the motto is “you’re only a stranger once”. For family friendly accommodation and a great community vibe, check out Seal Rocks, an idyllic and largely undeveloped coastal fishing town. You’ll be a mere few metres away from Number One Beach beach which is GREAT for surfing as well as 3 other beaches, a short walk to Sugar Loaf Lighthouse with its signature design, and nearby is Myall National Park for some fresh air and a bush walk. Think open spaces, friendly people and plenty of ocean.
