For Little Art Lovers

The Museum offers creative programs and resources for families with children aged 0–12 years, with hands-on activities designed to encourage kids to be inspired to create. It is a vibrant place to introduce little ones to contemporary art and explore the colour and movement.

There are plenty of interesting displays to keep toddlers amused with ultra-engaging activities throughout the year, plus fun things for kids to get involved in during the school holidays from workshops and exhibitions to the new Family Space.

The MCA is a great destination for the days when you need an activity that will make you feel like a grown-up while still keeping the kids interested and entertained. There are plenty of exhibitions where they welcome young children to participate in the art so keep an eye on upcoming events to make sure your museum visit coincides with an exhibition that suits your child’s age.

There’s always something new, exciting and inspiring to see at the MCA. Its location is superb and you’ll find many parents with young children on the front lawn of the museum relaxing, enjoying the amazing harbour view and watching the ferries go by.
