Collaroy Beach & Playground (gated)

Collaroy Beach is one of the best of Sydney’s northern beaches. It is a water paradise for families, though you’ll find challenging surf as well as the ocean pool for little swimmers.  This is one beach where you really need to swim between the flags and chat to the lifeguards about water conditions if in doubt.

Collaroy is bordered by Long Reef to the south and Narrabeen to the north and boasts a long stretch of beautiful east facing ocean beach. Toilet and shower facilities are available and there are picnic shelters and shade.

Just south of the Surf Club is a shaded and fenced playground-best for the under 8s. Next to the playground there is plenty of grass where the older kids can run and play. There are BBQs inside the playground and there are plenty of cafes just accross the road from the beach for lunch and coffee.

Parking is available but be warned-the parking lot fees are exorbitant on weekends.
