Mowbray Park FarmStay has always been a grazing farm. The farmstay came into existence in the early 1980’s and over the following 30+ years has evolved into one of the preeminent farm experiences in Australia, providing an enhanced farm experience for all visitors. They have also increased the emphasis on agricultural output which has the property echoing it’s illustrious past.

A visit to Mowbray Park Farmstay will enlighten, educate and entertain people of all ages as the team share with you their way of life.

Farmyard Fun

Farmyard fun is a daily event at Mowbray Park FarmStay each morning at 9.15am our tractor leaves for the animal nursery. The kids will help us feed the animals and tend to their needs. The calves will need to be fed by bottle; Bunnies will need some fresh grass; Eggs need to be collected from the chickens; cows need to be milked. You’ll also get to see some donkeys, alpacas, ducks and geese.

Mowbray Park Farmstay Activities

Pony Rides – a lead pony ride is a popular activity among young kids at Mowbray Park FarmStay. 

Natural Horsemanship Experience (8 yrs+ and a maximum weight of 105kg) - guided by the team at Mowbray Park you will take in the beautiful surrounds as we wind ourselves around the farm. Cost $90. 

Mountain Biking – Get active and adventurous by riding along the 9.5km mountain bike track. It’s fast and flows really well with a good ix of mild technical sections in there as well as a couple of ‘B’ lines for those that don’t want to take on the creek bed ssections or jumps.

Loads of other activities – canoeing, archery, tennis, swimming, fishing, mountain bike riding (BYO bike), toasting marshmallows by the campfire

You can do a day trip or make a weekend out of it.

Day Trips: Adults – $50.  Children (2-13yrs) – $35.  Children under 2 are free.

Mowbray Park Farmstay is located at 745 Barkers Lodge Road, Picton. A short, kid-friendly car trip of 90 minutes from Sydney. Two hours from Canberra and just 45 minutes from Wollongong.
