A Wiggles Wedding: Emma & Lachy Tie The Knot

Wow! Don’t they look gorgeous and so in love!

Saturday was a huge day for Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins and Purple Wiggle Lachlan ‘Lachy’ Gillespie as they exchanged vows in front of 200 close family and friends during a late afternoon wedding ceremony at Hopewood House in Bowral, Southern Highlands.

The Dress

Emma looked every bit the beautiful bride in an elegant vintage-inspired ivory gown by Australian designer, Suzanne Harward and a bespoke diamond headpiece by milliner Viktoria Novak. Her six bridesmaids also wore Suzanne Harward latte-coloured full-length gowns while two flowergirls were in gorgeous tutu-style dresses.

Suited Up

Lachy and his six groomsmen, including Red Wiggle, Simon Pryce, looked dapper in their suits designed by Arthur Galan, while fellow Blue Wiggle, Anthony Field wore a full regimental highland uniform from his army days, and led his old regiment on the bagpipes for Emma’s entrance and as the bridal party left the ceremony.

Subtle Wiggly Nods

While the cake had Emma’s signature Wiggles bow crafted from icing as well sporting pale yellow and purple colours, their wedding rings were also engraved with her bow and each set with nine rubies to signify the date of their wedding.

A Beautiful Day

Summed up perfectly by Emma, who described the day as ‘Lachy. Love. Laughter. The best day of my life.’ ellaslist wishes them a huge congratulations and a very happy future together. We’re predicting some broken hearts among young fans who’d had their hearts set on marrying Emma!
